As Millennium Fellows, they will participate in a semester-long leadership development program to improve their student organizing, partnership building and community impact skills. For example, at the University of Ilorin, Millennium Fellows are advancing SDG 5: Gender Equality through a grassroots movement to stop child marriage. At the University of Duke, United States, Fellows are using internet technology to bridge the gap between climate change media and ordinary people who want to make a difference. They use the internet to educate ordinary people on what they can do daily and in their spare time to reduce carbon footprints and ultimately save the earth in their own way. This is to mention a few of the activities happening in other campuses. As Millennium Fellows, they would also have opportunities to build a strong global network, learn from a global space and make world impact in their own sphere.
